Donate A Car To Charity Using A Processing Center And Help Make a Non-Profit Director's Job Much Simpler

As the director of a non-profit charitable organization, I am thrilled about every dollar that trickles in to help my group. A car donation however, is one donation that is best left to the car donation experts.

Don’t get me wrong – I am truly grateful to all those individuals who are willing donate a car to charity and make such a large and often times expensive donation towards a worthwhile cause. At the same time, like many other non-profit directors, I am in no way an expert in the car donation business.

When someone asks, “Where can I donate my car to help your cause?” I refer them directly to those who are in the business of collecting, repairing and selling car donations for charity.

Like most non-profit directors, I confess I know nothing about how to collect a car donation from a donor. Nor am I in the business of fixing up donated vehicles so that it can be sold at an auction. So, when a person calls me up or stops by the office to let me know they want to make a car donation on behalf of our charity, I no longer have the need to feel flustered.

Discovering that there are actually car donation services out there like Easy-Donate-A-Car that will take care of all of this for me was a saving grace. If I have a donor that is willing to give his or her car to my organization, all I need to do is refer him or her to one of these car donation service centers. Then, the car donor can work with the car donation processing company to complete the transaction.

Honestly, working with a car donation service center makes the entire process easier for the charity, the donor, and for everyone else involved.

I remember the first time our organization tried to take care of the car donation ourselves. I headed the process myself – I stumbled through the paperwork and I am not even 100% sure I “dotted the i’s and crossed the t’s” correctly. It’s quite possible that that car donor may not have received all of the tax benefits that they were entitled to.

Not only that, I really struggled with finding someone that could fix up the car for a fair price and that would put it into auction. Don’t get me wrong, we still raised some money from the ordeal, but it sure would have been nice to have someone else take care of the entire process so I could rest easy knowing it was taken care of correctly.

If you are someone that is considering donating a car to charity, I would first like to say thank you. You are certainly to be commended.

There are literally hundreds of worthy charities out there that can benefit from the money raised from your car donation. Regardless of which registered charity you wish to support, it would really make the process simpler, easier and faster for both you and the charity, if you go through a car donation service center that is specifically set up to process your car donation.

Similarly, if you are a charitable organization, looking into working with one of these car donation processing centers, you will soon appreciate having someone else take care of the car donation details on your behalf.

I know that using a car donation processing center has certainly made things far easier for me. And let me tell you from experience, the net proceeds received from the car donation processed through these charitable car donation centers are well worth it.

Never again will I try to complete the entire car donation process myself when someone else can do it quicker and better.

Donating a car to charity is very commendable and a professional car donation processing organization can make the whole process painless and easy while at the same time, making the job of the non-profit director a whole lot simpler.
